Your Blessings

Whether or not you are a Christian or

not, you do have blessings. Have you

ever thought of that? Wealthy good

people are blessed. They donate to

charities, churches, and people. Yet they

will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven

unless they believe in the Son of God. I

want to share with you the many

blessings of my life. My birth was a

blessing and my sister's. My dad, was

told by the doctor that my dad had a

choice of either his wife or unborn child.

After a short time, he told the doctor that

he wanted both. His prayers were

answered. Then after being told by the

same doctor almost 12 years later, my

sister was just a growth that needed to

be removed. Well that growth was born

and has delivered a few thousand

babies. So, I guess my first earthly

blessings were my mom and dad. This

is to parents. Pass your knowledge

down to you children. It can be art,

crafts, singing, writing, sewing, cooking,

and so many others. Dad taught me

fishing, hunting and electrical. It was the

wrong times for a woman to be an

electrician but I learned a lot. I

remember singing in my room or the

living room. Most of the time it was

classical or opera. As time moved

forward, we went to India to live for

awhile. Dad was constantly teaching us

skills to help us in the future. Mom

would teach us how to prepare food for

the year. It wasn't until my mid thirties

that I started to branch out into singing. I

had already learned the skills of

painting from Mom and high school. I

learned the skills of sewing from my

grandmothers, aunt, mom and high

school. Mother taught me how to be a

semstress. I learned to make women

and mens clothing of all kinds. It came

in handy when I was pregnant with my

first child. I still wanted pretty clothes, so

I designed my own. Then as time went

on it came in handy to make my

children's clothes. Later after I started

singing in Jamborees it came in handy

to take my clothing and convert it into

beautiful garments for stage. My singing

gave me joy and confidence in myself

that I had never known. I had felt like in

my life that I just didn't meet up to the

standards of my siblings. Then as time

moved on my blessing began to bless

others. I had the opportunity to go to

Nashville and probably would have

been a part of the Country Western and

Gospel singing. I chose to stay and raise

a family that has been a wonderful

blessing. I didn't take up my painting

again until mom went to be with Jesus. I

started back from the 70's to  was what

was the late 90's. I painted in oils. I

painted people and I also did a few

other spiritual paintings. There were a

lot of family and friends deaths along

with my health that seemed to take

things for me to a hault. Going back to

the blessings, I went to India while I was

in the 6th grade. I have been all the

way around the world. Yes there were

blessings being there. Sometimes

blessings are just what you learn. You

can take those things you learn and

they can turn into blessings that can

grow. In 1998, I read the bible all the

way through in 5 months. I worked and

had a family but the Lord found time for

me to be able to see the world from His

eyes. It was July 4th of that year. Well, I

worked that out for me to finish that

day. Then on July 28, 1998 there was a

vehicle accident with some members of

my family in a head on collision. My

world was then turned upside down.

The Lord was with me every step of the

trail and tribulatons ahead of me. The

other members of the family were

shaken up a bit but we were all alive.

The wreck was bad on me probably the

most. The blessing in this was we all

survived but there were changes in our

lives. The next 2 years my dad helped

with my health and provided for us until

we got some assistance. Then just

before he went to be with Jesus in

heaven the ability to write and create

poems started for me. Dad would share

his writings with people and his poems.

That was such a blessing to learn how

to be creative in that way. After the

wreck, I was taken down pretty hard

and now I was learning how to function

at least at home. It took a couple of

years before I could drive again. Time

was and is the key factor. Wait on the

Lord. Here comes the blessings of

survival. Pancreatitis twice, given the

wrong meds and had a chemical

reaction that hospitalized me for 3

weeks, and in 2013 had 3 strokes. The

3rd one took me down hard. Had to

learn to communicate again with

speech therapy and physical therapy.

This was a difficult time back but that's

when my paintings really got showing

what the Lord had really blessed me

with. My cuz, started this website for me

and it helped me to start many other

websites with his help of course.

Blessings pouring out in my life. Yes, my

children have grown up and have their

families. I've been blessed to help with

the raising of a few of them. There are

many more blessings that I have been

given. I will share more later in stories of

some of the blessings. Tonight all of us

that are still alive we have been

blessed. Look to the sky, there is a

blessing coming for you.
